Karim Benzema named Champions League Player of the Season

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has been named the Champions League Player of the Season.

He scored 15 goals in 12 Champions League games and is a leading contender to win this year's Ballon d'Or.

Benzema also won the competition’s Goal of the Season honour for a header against Chelsea in the quarter finals.

Meanwhile, teammate Vinicius Junior has been named Young Player of the Season.

Frenkie De Jong expresses desire to remain at Barca

Frenkie De Jong says he wants to stay at Barcelona, amid interest from Man United.

Recent reports say United have identified De Jong as a top transfer target, and are allegedly prepared to offer him close to 400 thousand pounds a week to move to Old Trafford.

De Jong still has four years left on his contract at Barca.

Ivan Perisic joins Tottenham

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter on a free transfer.

Perisic penned a deal that will run until 2024.

The player will link up with the team when his current Inter contract expires at the end of the month.

The move will see him reunite with Italian coach Antonio Conte after the two worked together at Inter.
