There was late drama at Anfield, where Liverpool snatched a 2-1 EPL win over Newcastle this morning.

The match appeared to be heading for a draw before Fabio Carvalho netted the winner eight minutes into stoppage time.

This is the Reds’ second straight victory, and moves them up to fifth in the standings.

Elsewhere, Erling Haaland scored his second successive hattrick, as Man City thrashed Nottingham Forest 6-0.

Arsenal maintained their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

While Tottenham remain unbeaten after their 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.

He joins the Blues on a seven-year deal for a fee of around 70 million pounds.

Fofana is now the third most expensive Premier League defender, behind Harry Maguire and Virgil Van Dijk.
