Arsenal win the North London derby

Arsenal have won the North London derby...with a 2-0 EPL victory away at Tottenham.

A Hugo Lloris own goal for Spurs and a Martin Odegaard strike in the first half secured all three points for the Gunners.

The win, coupled with second-placed Man City’s defeat on Saturday...means Mikel Arteta’s side are now eight points clear at the top of the league.

In other EPL results, Newcastle edged Fulham 1-0, while Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace also by a goal to nil.

Meanwhile, The Blues have completed the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk in a deal worth 88.5 million pounds.

Barcelona are Spanish Super Cup champions after cruising past Real Madrid 3-1.

Goals from Gavi, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri guided the Catalans to their 15^th Super Cup title overall.
