One point separates Man City and Liverpool in the title race

Liverpool’s EPL title hopes remain very much alive after their 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates this morning.
Diogo Jota opened the scoring for the Reds in the second half, before Roberto Firminho sealed the win just after the hour mark.
The result moves Liverpool to just one point behind leaders Man City…with both teams now having played the same number of games.

Holders Chelsea have booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
They beat Lille 2-1 in the second-leg of the last-16 this morning, to advance 4-1 on aggregate.
Chelsea had fallen behind to a 38thminute Lille penalty, but responded via Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta to seal the win in France.

Meanwhile, Villarreal scored three late goals to beat Juventus 3-0 in Turin.
The Spanish club advance 4-1 on aggregate.
Juve, meanwhile, make their exit in the last-16 stage for the third consecutive year.

Lee Zii Jia is through to the second round of the All England badminton championship.
The defending champion defeated Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto in straight sets, in their opening tie this morning.
Meanwhile, Aaron-Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, Pearly Tan- M.Thinaah, Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing and Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi were some of the other Malaysian reps who also won their opening matches.

The Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong have congratulated Malaysian athlete Shereen Vallabouy…after she broke the national 400m indoor record at the NCAA Division 2 Indoor Track and Field meet in the US over the weekend.
Shereen is the first Malaysian female athlete to dip below the 54-second mark…smashing the national record that has stood for 16 years.
