Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson believes the welfare of players is not being taken seriously.
This is after the Premier League decided to go ahead with Christmas fixtures, despite a rise in COVID-19 infections.
Henderson says players are committed to perform at the highest level, but the current situation is proving to be difficult.
The Reds face a heavy schedule ahead, with several players out due to COVID and injuries.

Tottenham are now set to take on Chelsea after both clubs secured a place in the EFL cup semi-finals.
The match will see a reunion between Spurs boss Antonio Conte and his former side.
Arsenal will face Liverpool in the other semis, with the north London side playing at home in the first leg.

Ferran Torres to reportedly undergo medical with Barcelona

Man City’s Ferran Torres is reportedly set to undergo a medical with Barcelona, ahead of a proposed transfer in January.
It’s believed that City have agreed to sell the player to Barca for €55 million, with a further €10 million in add-ons.
Torres is expected to sign a five-year-deal with the Catalan giants.
