Ekitike Apoligises for EFL Cup Red Card

Liverpool's Hugo Ekitike has apologised, after he was sent off in their 2-1 EFL Cup win over Southampton.
He admits he was overwhelmed with emotion, when he took off his shirt to celebrate scoring the winning goal, and this earned him a second yellow card.
This means that Ekitike will be suspended for Liverpool's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has hailed Lincoln City as worthy opponents, after the Blues had to fight back from a goal down, to beat them 2-1 in the EFL Cup this morning.
Maresca admits it was hard for them to cope with Lincoln's style of play, especially in the first half, and his team needed major tactical changes to secure a win.

Uefa has charged Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone with unsporting conduct, after he clashed with Liverpool fans in last week's Champions League match.
Liverpool are also facing disciplinary action, for failing to control their fans’ behaviour.

Newly appointed Benfica boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign Karim Benzema from al-Ittihad in January.
Mourinho previously coached Benzema during their time at Real Madrid.
