S.Sivasangari to miss Commonwealth Games after car accident

National squash player S.Sivasangari was left injured after she was involved in a car accident along a highway in KL.
The Squash Racket Association of Malaysia says the player suffered injuries to the head and is currently being treated at the Putrajaya Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Youth and Sports Minister says Sivangari is in stable condition and is expected to recover in three months.
This means the squash star will not be playing at the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Datuk Pandelela advance to the finals of World Diving Championships
Malaysia’s Datuk Pandelela Rinong has made the final of the women’s 10m Platform event, at the World Championships in Budapest.
She placed seventh in the semifinals, with the top 12 divers advancing.
This means Datuk Pandelela has maintained her record of never missing a final of a world meet since 2009.

Man United reportedly rejects proposal to include Harry Maguire for Frenkie De Jong
Man United have reportedly rejected a proposal from Barcelona to use Harry Maguire as part of their bid to bring Frenkie De Jong to Old Trafford.
Reports say boss Erik Ten Hag is keen to have Maguire in his ranks for his first season at the club.
United have been locked in talks with Barca over a deal for De Jong for several weeks, however, are still falling short of Barca’s asking price of £73 million.
