Scotland stun Spain in Euro qualifiers

Scotland have stunned Spain 2-0 in their Euro 2024 qualifying tie this morning.
Man United’s Scott McTominay scored a brace to give the Scots their first competitive victory over Spain in 39 years.
They now top Group A after two matches with a three-point lead over the Spaniards.
In other selected qualifiers... Croatia enjoyed a 2-0 win over Turkiye,
Wales edged Latvia 1-0,
While Switzerland cruised past Israel 3-0.

In selected international friendlies, Yannick Carrasco, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne scored a goal each in Belgium’s 3-2 victory over Germany.

Back home, Akhyar Rashid and Faisal Halim were on the scoresheet, as Harimau Malaya enjoyed a comfortable 2-nil win over Hong Kong, in their international friendly in Johor.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to axe up to eight players this summer in an effort to reduce their bloated squad.
The players who are tipped to leave include Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mason Mount, and Hakim Ziyech.

And, the BAM president says his recent meetings with Lee Zii Jia were purely coincidental, amid rumours the shuttler is eyeing a return to the national body.
Tan Sri Norza Zakaria, however, says a meeting with Zii Jia will be arranged soon, regarding his preparation for next year’s Paris Olympics.
