Olympiakos Win Their First European Title

Olympiakos have won the Europa Conference League after a 1-0 extra-time win over Fiorentina in this morning’s final.

This is their first-ever European trophy.

It is also the first time any Greek side have won a major European title.

Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham has been voted La Liga’s Player of the Season in his very first campaign in Spain.

He beat Real teammate Rodrygo…Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann and Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski to the honour.

Bayern Munich have officially appointed ex-Burnley boss Vincent Kompany as their new head coach, to take over from Thomas Tuchel.

This, as former Germany boss Hansi Flick was confirmed as Xavi’s replacement as new manager of Spanish giants Barcelona.

Defending champion Iga Swiatek has made the third round of the French Tennis Open after a hard-fought three-sets win over Naomi Osaka.

And, this September’s Indian MotoGP has been cancelled due to operational issues and will be replaced by Kazakhstan.
