Diogo Jota and Cristiano Ronaldo were on the scoresheet as Portugal recorded a 3-1 win over Luxembourg in their World Cup qualifier.
It helped the Portuguese bounce back from their disappointing draw with Serbia over the weekend.
In other selected results, Wales picked up the first win of their campaign with a 1-0 victory over the Czech Republic.
The Netherlands hammered Gibraltar 7-0.
Belgium recorded a thumping 8-0 win over Belarus.
While, over in the Asian Zone qualifiers Japan recorded the second-biggest win in their history, thrashing Mongolia 14-0.

Bayern Munich will be without their star striker Robert Lewandowski for the Champions League quarterfinal against PSG.
The Poland international has been ruled out for a month, after picking up a knee injury while on international duty.
The first leg of the quarterfinal takes place next Thursday, with the return leg happening the following week.
Lewandowski is also set to miss the first leg of the semifinals – should Bayern progress – unless he can make a quicker than expected recovery.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is reportedly not interested in Sergio Aguero, despite reports linking the striker with the Catalan club.
The Argentine will be leaving Man City at the end of the season, with a host of top European sides now vying for his signature.
Koeman, however, is not a fan of Aguero…preferring to focus instead of trying to sign Memphis Depay from Lyon…and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
A decision on the planned new format for the Champions League has been delayed.
UEFA was initially expected to sign off on the changes today…but this has now been pushed to April 19.
Under the proposal, a 10-match league format will replace the tournament’s traditional group stage.
