Chelsea's season, the worst ever Premiership title defence

Chelsea's season has been confirmed as the worst ever Premier League title defence, after last weekend's defeat to Sunderland meant the Blues can't finish higher than 9th place.
This will be the lowest finish of any Premier League champions, eclipsing Blackburn in 1996 and Manchester United in 2014, both of whom finished 7th.
This season the Blues have won just 12 games, down from 26 last season when they lifted the title.
Separately, Nemanja Matic has hinted he may leave Chelsea in the summer with rumours linking him with Italian champions Juventus.
