Eintracht Frankfurt keep Arsenal from Europa League knockouts

Nov 29, 2019

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is now under more pressure, after Eintracht Frankfurt came from a goal down to beat his side 2-1 in the Europa League.

The result means The Gunners are now winless in their last seven games, with Emery seemingly clinging to his job, as other names continue to be linked with the post.

Arsenal will now have to avoid defeat at Standard Liege next month, to be certain of a spot in the last-32.

In other selected results:

Wolves qualified for the knockout stage, despite being held to a 3-all draw by Braga, while Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat at Astana.

Nicholas Latifi takes Robert Kubica's seat for 2020

Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi will replace Robert Kubica in the Williams driver line-up for Formula One 2020.

Latifi, who finished second in this year's Formula 2 championship, has spent this season as the team's reserve driver.

Williams' announcement means the full driver line-up for the 2020 season is now complete.

Kubica, meanwhile, is hoping to balance a Formula One support role, with a seat in the German Touring Car Masters after leaving Williams.

Sunday's Abu Dhabi GP will see Kubica bid farewell to racing in F1, but the 34-year-old has confirmed he's in talks with Racing Point and Haas over a development role.
