Fernandinho out of action due to injury

Man City midfielder Fernandinho is likely to be out of action, after suffering a leg injury in their 3-1 Champions League victory over Porto this morning.

Boss Pep Guardiola confirmed the injury saying the midfielder could be out of action for up to six weeks.

This is the latest addition to City’s injury worries, who were already without players like Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, and Benjamin Mendy.

Social media paltforms urged to tackle racist messages online 

Man City’s Raheem Sterling has called on social media platforms to do their part in tackling racist abuse targeted at footballers online.

This, following a report saying more than 3,000 abusive messages were sent to over 40 high-profile players during a recent study.

New Zealand cancels Junior World Championships 

New Zealand has cancelled its 2020 Badminton Junior World Championships in Auckland, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organisers say the event would have been complex to execute, given the current COVID-19 restrictions, including bearing the cost of isolating players and staff upon their arrival.
