JDT makes history after Super League title win

JDT made history by becoming the first club to win the Super League title 3 years in a row, after beating Terengganu 3-nil in JB last night.
No team in the country has ever won the league championship in 3 successive years, since a league system was first introduced in 1979.
Meanwhile Melaka United are the new Premier League champion title this season, despite a 1-all draw with third-placed team, JDT 2.
The draw enabled Melaka United to rack up a total of 49 points, seven points more than their nearest rival PKNS FC, with 2 games to spare.
