Jurgen Klopp warns Liverpool could boycott EFL Cup quarters
Oct 31, 2019
Jurgen Klopp has threatened to pull his Liverpool side out of the EFL Cup, if authorities don't resolve a scheduling issue.
This is because the quarterfinal of the competition is on the same week as the Reds' appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar.
Klopp insists the revised date must be conducive, adding that he will not accept anything that's going to worsen their already busy schedule.
It comes after Liverpool booked their place in the last-eight of the EFL Cup, after their dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Arsenal this morning.
The match ended 5-all in regulation time.
Another big result this morning saw Manchester United beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
