Liverpool close to signing Thiago Alcantara

Liverpool have reportedly reached a deal to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich. 

According to multiple reports. the EPL champions agreed a deal that's worth around 30 million euros. 

Thiago has yet to agree terms with Liverpool, but their negoations are expected to proceed smoothly. 

It's believed that Liverpool swooped in for the midfielder, amid interest from rivals Manchester United.

Jose refuses to comment on Bale rumour

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is refusing to comment on reports, that they are set to sign Real Madrid's Gareth Bale on a season-long loan. 

However, he did confirm that he's a huge admirer of the Welshman, and tried to sign him back when he was in charge of the Spanish club.

Recent reports claimed that Bale is set to make a sensational return to his former club, after falling out of favour with Real boss Zinedine Zidane. 

Bale left Spurs in 2013...joining Real for a then-world record fee of over 85 million pounds.

Hamilton closing in on Schumi record 

F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton says he still doesn't believe that he's only one victory away from matching the legendary Michael Schumacher's all-time win record. 

The Mercedes driver claimed his 90th career win, in last weekend's Tuscan GP at Mugello, and victory in the next race in Russia will put him level with Schumacher’s tally, which has stood since 2006.
