National badminton star agrees to be part of Podium Program

National badminton star Datuk Lee Chong Wei has agreed to be part of the Podium Program under the National Sports Institute.
He told Berita Harian he managed to sort out conflicts between the Podium Progam contract and his own sponsorship, after a discussion with Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
Chong Wei will sign the contract after the All-England Badminton Championships, which will kick off next Tuesday.
The Programme is aimed at providing a focused programme for a select group of athletes, to help then win medals on the international stage.
