Newcastle dent Man City's title hopes

City Falter

Defending champions Man City have suffered a massive blow to their title hopes, after they fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to Newcastle this morning. 

Sergio Aguero had given City an early lead almost immediately after kickoff, but the Magpies responded with two goals in the second half, to snatch the win.

The result leaves Pep Guardiola's side four points behind league leaders Liverpool, who will take on Leicester tomorrow.

Manchester United fought back from two goals down, to secure a 2-2 draw with Burnley at Old Trafford.

Victor Lindeloff was the hero for the Red Devils, netting the equaliser in injury-time to extend their unbeaten run under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to nine matches in all competitions.

Elsewhere, Arsenal beat Cardiff 2-1, Fulham hammered Brighton 4-2, Everton edged past Huddersfield 1-0, while Wolves beat West Ham 3-0.

Qatar are thru to the Asian Cup final, after beating hosts UAE 4-nil. 

They will next take on Japan in the title decider this Friday.
