Sam Allardyce starts his reign as England manager with a win

Sam Allardyce has begun his reign as England football manager with a winning start as the Three Lions beat Slovakia 1-0 in their opening Group F qualifier for the 2018 World Cup finals.
Liverpool forward Adam Lallana scored the only goal of the match deep into stoppage time.
This, as Wayne Rooney has become England's most capped outfield player after claiming his 116th cap in the match.
Rooney surpasses David Beckham, who was capped 115 times by his country, while goalkeeper Peter Shilton holds the overall record with 125 appearences for the Three Lions.
Meanwhile, in Oslo, Thomas Mueller scored twice to give defending world champions Germany a 3-0 win over Norway in their Group C opener.
This as Scotland thrashed Malta 5-1, Denmark beat Armenia 1-0 and the Czech Republic played out a goalless draw with Northern Ireland in their respective groups.
