Spain has appointed its new football headcoach

Spain has appointed Julen Lopetegui as its new football headcoach, succeeding Vicente del Bosque.
The 49-year-old guided Spain to title success in the European Under-19 and Under-21 Championships, in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and led Porto from May 2014 until January this year.
A former goalkeeper, Lopetegui was part of Spain's 1994 World Cup squad but did not play.
