Wenger Compares Liverpool to the Arsenal Invincibles

Jan 02, 2020

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says the current Liverpool squad has a lot in common with his Gunners team that won the Premier League without a single defeat in 2003-2004.

He says he can see a similar belief in the Reds squad, that they are capable of winning every game they play.

Liverpool are currently on a run of 36 league games without defeat - the last time they lost was against Man City in January LAST YEAR.

Meanwhile, the Reds could extend that run to 37 games, when they take on Sheffield United at Anfield tomorrow morning.

You can catch the action 4am LIVE on Astro SuperSport 3, Channel 813, and also in 4K Ultra HD, on channel 780.

Juventus have NOT given up hope of signing Paul Pogba from Man United during this month's transfer window.

According to reports, this is despite United saying that Pogba has to undergo ankle surgery, which could sideline him for an extended period.

Pogba still has two-and-a-half years left on his current United deal, and it's belived that the Red Devils will only agree to sell him for at least 100 million pounds.

Manchester United will dip into the transfer market this month.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the Red Devils will look to reinforce his midfield, as Paul Pogba and Scott McTomminay will be out injured for an extended spell.

However he insists that they will NOT resort to panic-buying.

Pogba needs to undergo surgery on his ankle injury, while Scott McTomminay is out with a knee problem.
