You may recognise our Homegrown Artist of the Month for his scintillating serenades with vocal harmony pop sensation, Back2Basixx; but this year, Christian Theseira is heading towards a much-revered journey of his own.
Christian is stepping into his own limelight with his single, "Hard to Leave", which is designed to be a treat for trap soul lovers. The single showcases his sultry vocals laid over a fresh, soulful RnB vibe.
“Hard To Leave” was written and produced by Christian, whose knowledge of production comes from his father, Collin Theseira, who is a sound engineer. The up and coming local artist has been playing in the local scene for 15 years, and declares music as the only thing that he has been sure of his entire life.
"I have always respected local musicians," he said. "Only because I know how difficult it can be to get your music out to an audience, it takes time, practice, courage, discipline and plenty of perseverance."
But what about Back2Basixx? Worry not, as Christian is very much still with the group and will continue to produce more hits with them.
"Back2Basixx is my family, and we will always want what's best for each other. They know it's just a part of me that I've been wanting to express for a long time and they are 100% supportive and have even offered to lend a hand wherever they can," he said.
