You know you've created a brilliant series when people are still arguing and talking about it 20 years later.

A recent tweet caused sparks to fly when a fan questioned the scoring system of Quidditch.

To the muggles who don't know what Quidditch is, it's the official sport of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Played on broomsticks, the high-flying games involves three different types of balls: the Quaffle earns the team 10 points when it's put into one of three high-standing hoops; the Bludgers that attempt to knock someone off their broomstick; and the Golden Snitch, which earns the team 150 points upon capture and ultimately ends the match.

The tweet in question stated that "the scoring system of quidditch makes zero sense"…

… to which JK Rowling epically replied, “It makes total sense. There's glamour in chasing an elusive lucky break, but teamwork and persistence can still win the day. Everyone's vulnerable to blows of fate and obstructive people, and success means rising above them. Quidditch is the human condition. You're welcome."

In short, Quidditch = Life.

Some still dared to question JK Rowling's genius:

But the author was quickly defended by fans who fully understood what she meant.

So, the next time you think about attacking JK Rowling and her work, think again.
