One of the biggest parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has always and will always be Stan Lee.

And while we lost the legendary icon back in November 2018, a part of him still lives on in the MCU movies. Who can forget all his iconic cameos in the Marvel films?

While Avengers: Endgame brought a lot of tears to our eyes, Stan’s final cameo in the MCU was the one that made us cry the most.

Get ready to cry all over again.

Slight spoilers ahead.

Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige recently revealed that while the world got to watch the final movie in the Infinity Saga, Stan did not manage to see a cut of the movie before his passing.

During a recent “Ask Me Anything” Q&A on Reddit, Kevin was asked how much did Stan know about Endgame before his death. To which he answered,

“Stan loved to wait to see the final movie at the premiere, so unfortunately he did not get to see the finished movie. Stan got a download of the full story the day he came and shot his cameo.”

So while Stan got into his cameo role as a man in the 1970s - who drives by a military base proclaiming an anti-war message, he was given the low-down of the whole movie. That’s at least something!

The cast and crew have mentioned in previous interviews that Stan’s spirit lives on in Endgame and the MCU.

“He’s going to be watching it, brother. He’s watching it,” said Jeremy Renner aka Clint Barton/Hawkeye. “He’s in all of us. He’s going to be watching it.”

At least Stan knew that the MCU was back in order before he left this world. We’ll miss you Stan Lee. Excelsior!
