The end of Avengers: Endgame saw fans losing Iron Man and Captain America permanently and many have been worried about the fate of their other favourite superheroes.

While Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have revealed that they would not be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor fans will be glad to know that Chris Hemsworth is here to stay!

In a recent interview, Chris confirmed that he would be reprising his role as the God of Thunder even after the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

Speaking to Elle Man, the actor shared that he wouldn’t be hanging up his hammer just yet saying he’s “far too young” to retire at 1500 years old.

“Are you crazy?!” he said. “I’m not going into retirement. Thor is far too young for that. He’s on 1500 years old! This is definitely not the film where I say goodbye to this brand.”

“At least I hope so,” he added.

Now that we’re all waiting for Thor: Love and Thunder to hit the big screens in February 2022, Chris gave us an update on the highly anticipated movie.

“After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited,” he said. “I am sure there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning in the production (laughs). I’m glad that after all that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I’m still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor.”

“Of course, I can’t reveal anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I will say that reading the script I had a lot more fun than on Thor: Ragnarok, and that shows something, because this movie was brilliant.”

Marvel fans all over are sighing in relief to know that Thor would be staying in the MCU, and we’re right there with them.

We can’t wait to see more of Chris as Thor in the MCU!
