The publication notes that Marvel Studios will reportedly meet the two actors for roles in the upcoming Shang-Chi – Marvel’s first Asian-centric superhero.
Hashtag reported that the studio is “interested” in meeting Ludi for the titular role of Shang-Chi – an expert martial artist and master of kung fu, whose physical prowess makes him one of the deadliest fighters in the Marvel Universe.

During Aquaman interview back in December, Ludi talked about his hopes in winning the role and bringing his martial arts background to the MCU.
“It’s definitely something I want to do,” he said. “To do an Asian-centric superhero. To tell that story. I mean ideally, I’d like to design my own superhero, make my own creation.”
“But I think the Marvel world is pretty incredible as well,” Ludi added. “Especially in honour of Stan Lee, the person who created this entire, I mean like an entire universe. You know what I mean? It’s pretty incredible. And I think it would be great because it would take another big step towards representation.”

Hong Kong icon, Yen, is also currently being considered for an unidentified supporting role in the upcoming movie. Marvel hopes to meet with the icon soon for a role that has been described as a “wise, old statesman.”
According to Hashtag, Marvel is looking to begin production on Shang-Chi in early November. The movie is so far set for release on 12th February 2021.
