The Dora Milaje is an elite force of female protectors to the king of Wakanda. And they’re getting their own comic book spinoff! Yasssss!
Marvel editor, Wil Moss, recently announced the news on Twitter. The new collection of one-shot comic will be called Wakanda Forever.
Written by Nnedi Okorafor with art by Alberto Alburquerque, the books will focus on Okoye, Ayo and Aneka as their story arc moves through Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, and Avengers.
According to Nnedi, in the first issue of Wakanda Forever with Spider-Man, the three women will head to New York to “investigate a threat to national security”. And you won’t even have to wait long to read these comics.
The first issue is coming out in June, then the second issue, X-Men: Wakanda Forever, will be published in July, and Avengers: Wakanda Forever in August. Here’s hoping a standalone series will follow!
