With a week and a half to go before we find out the fates of our beloved Avengers, our hearts are already pounding.
While some fans build theories around what could happen in the upcoming movie, others are planning/having marathons to catch up with all the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies before Avengers: Endgame.
Unfortunately, not all of us can devote almost 59 hours of our times to rewatch the entire MCU before the final episode in the Infinity Saga.
Lucky for us, the Anthony Russo and the Endgame writers have summed up which movies we definitely should binge before the upcoming movie.

Speaking to Fandango, the director noted, “People who haven’t seen anything [can still enjoy the movie]. I would say, certainly, Civil War and Infinity War are probably the two biggest lead-ins to this movie.”
“”[Civil] War created the situation where the Avengers were divided,” he explained. For the universe to be saved, the superheroes definitely need to patch things up before heading into the final battle.
The director also noted that fans should also re-watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier and that “the previous Avengers movies also very much factor into this film.”

Endgame writers, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely spoke to ScreenRant with their own views of what fans should rewatch.
“I would say you have to pay to rent all three Captain America movies,” Christopher said. “And then for the Thanos backstory, I find his family relationship fascinating so I guess the Guardians [films]. And Iron Man 1.”

So for those of you keeping tabs, here’s all the movies you need to watch in order:
- Iron Man
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- The Avengers
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Captain America: Civil War
- Avengers: Infinity War

For some reason, the director and writers emphasise re-watching all the Captain America movies. Could this mean what we think it does? What do you think?
