We're a month away from the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and already we're talking about the third upcoming movie in the franchise. You can't blame us!
The cast and crew are said to already be looking into the third movie of the Harry Potter spin-off series. Johnny Depp, who’s Gellert Grindelwald, has confirmed that he’ll be returning to play the dark wizard.

In an interview with Collider, Johnny revealed that the team will be beginning production on Fantastic Beasts 3 in "the middle of next year".
Discussing his character, the actor said, "The possibilities in that world are wide open, so you can really try anything. So, it was a gas and I look forward to the next instalment, which I think we start in the middle of next year."

Although many fans haven’t been happy with the casting, JK Rowling believed in Johnny's ability to bring his own twist to the character.
"Someone said JK Rowling would like to talk to me," he said when asked about his experience in the wizarding world. "I spoke to a few producers and the director and to JK and had long conversations basically about the Grindelwald character.”
"JK said something I did not expect to hear because obviously her detail to her characters and those wizarding worlds is astonishing. The fact that she said, 'I can't wait to see what you do with the character.' Just to hand it off to me with that degree of trust, I was really touched, blown away by that," he added.

Johnny also talked about his character whose "intentions in his mind are for the greater good". He said that Grindelwald is "very dedicated to his beliefs. He's not a fun character; he's not funny."
