Besides being known as an Asian Heritage Museum, Carcosa Seri Negara was used as the home of Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh's character, Eleanor Young. Carcosa Seri Negara is also a five-star boutique hotel that you can check out for its scrumptious afternoon tea and luxurious suites.

2. Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, Penang

Also known as the Blue Mansion, Eleanor and Rachel's famous mahjong scene was filmed at the courtyard in Penang! Chinese merchant Cheong Fatt Tze built this Penang home as tribute to his heritage to pass on to his descendants.

Production designer Nelson Coates said, "We shot all the London scenes in Penang and we stripped down the whole Blue Mansion so that we could bring in our own decor pieces to make it the mahjong hall."

3. Be-landa House, KL

The Be-landa House was used as Eleanor's friend, Carol Tai's house, where she and a group of friends meet to drink tea and gossip. The family of five that lived in the Be-landa House opened their home to a cast and crew of 100 members, 26 trucks of equipment, Chinese antiques and art, 13 hours of filming and five days of setting up and dismantling!

4. Langkawi

"Due to logistics and time constraints, we even had to make Langkawi look like it was two different places for the bachelor and bachelorette party scenes," added Nelson. Instead of heading to the actual Rawa Island in Johor, the scene took place in Langkawi!

In this scene, Nick tells his best friend Colin that he wants to marry Rachel and shows him the proposal ring! We took a boat around some bends in Langkawi where all of these rocks just jut out of the water. We only took a small crew, like 10 of us, to shoot the scene on the raft,” revealed Nelson.

5. Four Seasons Resort, Langkawi

In the movie, Araminta brings her girlfriends to her mother's private island resort in "Indonesia—the scene actually took place at the Four Seasons Resort in Langkawi instead! Each beachfront villa has its own spa and private plunge room with picturesque views!
