It’s the reunion we desperately wanted for five seasons on Game of Thrones but Jon Snow and Robb Stark are finally meeting once again but this time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

As revealed at the recent D23 expo, the brothers/cousins of the GoT universe will once again be reuniting in Marvel’s The Eternals!

While many fans have known about Richard’s role in the upcoming movie, Kit’s role was kept under wraps. It was finally revealed at the expo that Kit’s secret role would be one that joins both the Kings in the North.

Kit will be taking on the role as a non-Eternal character named Dane Whitman who is actually a superhero by the name of Black Knight.

For those of you who are new to this character, Dane is actually the third Marvel character to bear the Black Knight name, and at some point, the Black Knight was even rumoured to appear in Avengers: Endgame.

As Dane is not an Eternal, it’s unclear how important his character is to the first Eternals movie. Many speculations have arisen however that Kit’s character would appear in more than just the movie, but also in other MCU titles and series.

Richard on the other hand, will be taking on the role as Ikaris, a Prime Eternal whose power is greater than that of the other Eternals.

Also revealed at the D23 expo, Gemma Chan, another known MCU actress will be rejoining the universe this time as one of Marvel’s best-known Eternals, Sersi.

Kit and Gemma will be joining an A-list cast that includes Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, and of course, Richard Madden.

The Eternals will bring the oldest heroes of the MCU to Earth and Chloe Zhao will direct the movie that centers on the race of never-aging, never-fading figures.

The Eternals were created by the powerful godlike creatures known as the Celestials. Since the Earth’s birth thousands of years ago, the Eternals have been keeping watch over humankind but have clashed many times with their eternal nemeses, The Deviants – a twisted, hideous group who were also created by the Celestials.

The Eternals has been set for release on 6th November 2020 and we can’t wait to see the Stark brothers back together in Marvel’s Phase 4!

We’re totally excited to see winter coming to the MCU! Who are you most excited to see in the upcoming movie?
