According to Variety, Warner Bros. has officially delayed the release of the highly anticipated movie.
Instead of being released in March 2020 as was originally planned, the movie is now looking at a November 2020 release date.

Back in May when Godzilla: King of the Monsters was released, the movie didn’t make as big as impact at the box-office as was expected. The movie generated $385 million worldwide and was considered a “financial disappointment given its $200 million price tag.”
Because of this, Variety reported that it would stand to reason that WB “wanted to step back and retool the franchise before unleashing it to the public” with the upcoming movie.

Production on the highly anticipated crossover was wrapped in April, so if you’re worried about the movie being cancelled, that probably won’t happen.
Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth entry in the monster universe that follows 2004’s Godzilla, 2017’s Kong: Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The upcoming movie stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry.
