The DC Extended Universe has been giving some major news the past couple of weeks and now, they’re giving us more!
According to multiple reports, Henry Cavill will be back to reprise his role as Clark Kent aka Superman for future projects for Warner Bros. Pictures!

Besides (successfully) waiting and petitioning to have director Zack Synder’s Justice League released, fans have also been eager to see the actor get another shot at playing the Man of Steel after his last stint in Justice League in 2017.
But if you’re thinking that Man of Steel 2 is on its way, unfortunately you’ll be disappointed as “a sequel to Man of Steel is not currently in the works from the studio,” Comic Book reports.
Henry’s Superman will in fact “operate in a similar capacity to Marvel’s use of Nick Fury and the Hulk, appearing in films for a supporting role or even smaller cameos.”
Superman’s future however has not yet been fully decided but it sounds like the studio and DC Comics are still figuring out where Henry’s Man of Steel best fits in upcoming movies.

The actor previously expressed his interest in returning to the role of Superman saying:
“Where we left off with Man of Steel, in particular, was the guy who had found his place, or was trying to find his place but had sort of found it by the end, that had committed something which he would consider a most horrific sin by killing the last member of his species. That is a place where I would like to travel from with the character. Him exploring the positivity of who he is. Not necessarily the chocolate box version, but the leaning into that. That character who becomes an icon of hope and enjoying that experience rather than necessarily being made uncomfortable by it.”

Fans of course have flooded social media with their excitement for Henry to return to his role a Superman and tbh, we’re right there with them!
We can’t wait to see Henry Cavill back as Superman, even if its still minimal parts in future DCEU movie! We’ll take whatever we can get!
