Suicide Squad 2 is set to be released in 2021, but it seems that the franchise could be losing Will Smith!
Although the full cast has not been finalised, sources have told Variety that Will is “not expected to return for the studio’s upcoming sequel” as Deadshot.

The sources also say that “scheduling was the ultimate factor and that the decision was made on amicable terms between both sides with no hard feelings.”
It’s important to note that although Warner Bros has never confirmed it’s returning cast for the sequel, an insider said that “the studio has always wanted its biggest stars like Will and Margot Robbie, who played Harley Quinn in the first pic, to return while figuring out other casting decisions along the way.”

With the production team still working on their schedules, the release date is currently set for August 6th, 2021 in international cinemas.
