Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is arguably one of the best superhero movies to grace the big screen in 2018 and it's no wonder that the fans want more!

And we may be getting more in the form of Spider-Gwen!

Hailee Steinfeld who voiced Spider-Gwen's character is rumoured to return for a female-centric spinoff of the Spider-Verse, where she will lead the next movie alongside characters like Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman and Silk.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Hailee expressed her excitement of a possible spinoff.

"Oh my goodness. To be a part of this and play this strong female superhero, in this film praticularly, is quite a privilege," she said. "The thought of a spinoff is incredible. If that were to ever happen, I would be honoured to be a part of it. I woulld love that opportunity. Anything to do something like this again with these people would be an honour."

Rumours of a spinoff first started before Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse premiered. Currently, a sequel is already in the works and will see Gwen and Miles Morales back in action.

When Hailee saw Spider-Gwen in action for the first time, she was blown away.

"I remember seeing her for the first time and feeling like this is the coolest thing I've ever done," Hailee said back then. "And it was one of those things where you hear about how the directors were so excited about how she was coming together, and the colour scheme of her outfits, her look as a whole… I was hearing all about it. It was one of those things where I was like, ok, now they're going to show me a sketch and I'm going to have to act like it's great… And sure enough, when they showed it to me.. like I said, this is the coolest thing ever and too bad this isn't live-action, because I wish I actually look like that."

Are you up for a Spider-Gwen spinoff?
