Disney has previously confirmed that in its live action adaption of Mulan, the title role will be played by Liu YiFei aka Crystal Liu. And now another major star is set to appear in the film!

That’s right, Ip Man star Donnie Yen is the latest addition to the Mulan family, and he’ll be playing Mulan’s mentor, Commander Tung.

Though we still haven’t gotten over the fact that the movie won’t have any songs in it—like the animated version, we’re certainly happy to hear that Donnie will be in it!

The movie is set to be released on 27 March 2020, and Donnie is currently filming Ip Man 4. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some Wing Chun action in the movie!
