It’s been more than two decades since we first saw basketball legend Michael Jordan take the court with some Looney Tunes like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and now we’re about to get more with a new star!
After hearing about the highly anticipated Space Jam 2 for a while now, we finally have a title and a logo for the movie!

Previously it was revealed that a sequel to the iconic Space Jam was on the way with international basketball star LeBron James in the lead role and now Space Jam 2 finally has a title.
LeBron took to social media to reveal the sequel’s official logo and confirmed that the movie would be called Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Just like the first movie that was released in 1996, the sequel will see a blend of live-action and animation with LeBron set to take the “small forward” position with team mates like Bugs Bunny as the “point guard”.
Space Jam 2 has been set for release in June 2021 and according to the basketball star, the movie is still moving forward according to schedule.
Speaking on the Road Trippin’ podcast last month, LeBron said, “Space Jam has always been scheduled to come out in June of 2021. So we’re kind of ok. And a lot of it right now is animation, so being indoors is actually great for us.”
“So we’re still on,” he continued. “Just like everything in the world, everything is slowed down a little bit but we’re still on target. I’m looking forward to it. During this time right now, I wish we could release it right now, man, and give people some things to watch in their households. But we got until next year, next summer. We’re excited about it.”
LeBron will not only be joined by the Looney Tunes, he’ll also be joined by NBA and WNBA stars Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors), Chris Paul (Oklahoma City), Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers), Diana Taurasi (Pheonix Mercury), Chiney Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks), and Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks).
On top of that, Avengers: Endgame’s Don Cheadle and Star Trek: Discovery’s Sonequa Martin-Green have also been casted to join the sequel.
