An earlier report by Deadline rumoured that Robert Downey Jr would be making an appearance in the upcoming Black Widow movie.
It has now been confirmed that the actor is definitely making a small return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the movie that’s set to premiere on 1st March 2020.
Before you get too excited, bare in mind that Robert’s involvement in the movie might not be in the aspect of a newly-filmed cameo that fans have been expecting.
Reports have suggested a high possibility that the upcoming movie could be recycling an unused/deleted scene from Captain America: Civil War.
This info helps to confirm the rumours and speculations that Black Widow would take place around the same time as the third Captain America movie.
The unused/deleted scene with Iron Man that could be used in Black Widow is one that you might have seen before as it has been used in multiple public events.
Multiple sites have reported that the cameo scene would be the one where Black Widow and Iron Man have one final confrontation after the final battle, echoing the earlier argument where Natasha tells Tony that “we played this wrong.”
Tony then tells Natasha to run “which is what sends her to go into hiding with Steve Rogers and the rest of the Secret Avengers.”
Well, even though Robert’s appearance may not be a long one, we’re glad to even have a glimpse of Tony back in the MCU! We can’t wait!
Are you excited to see Iron Man back in Black Widow?
