As most of the world is now spending their days indoors to help stop the spread of COVID-19, many productions of movies and series have been on hold. One of these movies includes Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

The cast of The Batman are currently at home, and though production may be on hold, many of the actors are in the midst of preparing themselves to take on their roles in the highly anticipated movie by working out.

Except Robert Pattinson aka Batman.

GQ recently caught up with the actor who is currently staying indoors in London to find out what he’s been up to during the quarantine period.

And while Robert may be filling his time with various things, working out is not one of them.

If fans have been waiting to see a bulked up Batman in the upcoming movie, it seems like they may be disappointed as the actor is simply not interested in following the the footsteps of Christian Bale who gained a lot of weight for his role as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

“I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem,” Robert told GQ, despite having been given a strict fitness regime by his trainer for the part.

“You set a precedent,” he added. “No-one was doing this in the 1970s. Even James Dean – he wasn’t exactly ripped.”

The actor’s personal trainer who was hired by the film studio, even pleaded with him to start using the Bosu ball and single weight that had been provided for him during the COVID-19 lockdown but Robert is “barely doing anything.”

But he has however decided to stick to the meal plan provided that includes tuna topped with Tabasco, and vanilla protein powder sprinkled on some oatmeal.

To be fair to the actor, not everyone is keen on working out while staying home, and tbh, same.

Once news of Robert’s decision to not exercise hit social media, fans immediately took sides. Some agreed with the actor’s mindset and defended his decision while others called him out for being “lazy” and remain rooted that Batman should be “beefy”.

Well, we’re still excited to see Robert’s take on Batman, even if he’s buffed up or not!

Do you think it matters if Robert’s bulked up in The Batman? Let us know your thoughts!

In the meantime, follow in Robert’s lead by staying safe at home to stop the spread of COVID-19! And stay updated with the latest COVID-19 news here: https://en.syok.my/covid-19
