During a red carpet interview with ABC host Michael Strahan and Tiffany Haddish at the 2018 Oscars, Daniel Kaluuya politely corrected Strahan’s salute form, saying, “It’s right over left.”

The Wakanda salute from Ryan Coogler’s masterpiece has been among the film’s lasting hallmarks. In fact, upon accepting the recent Independent Spirits Award for Best Film—for Get Out, director-writer Jordan Peele and his leading man Daniel gave presenter, Chadwick, the celebratory “Wakanda Forever” salute too!
