Grab your backpacks and get ready for an adventure with Dora the Explorer in an all new live-action movie titled, Dora and the Lost City of Gold!

The first looks of the upcoming movie was recently dropped and it’s got us saying “backpack!” at our screens!

Isabela Moner takes on the role as Dora as she travels in search of the Lost City of Gold along with her trusty backpack and monkey pal, Boots.

The movie will see a slight older Dora who’s about to began the adventure of her life in high school. Paramount released a short summary of the movie:

“Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind the lost city of gold.”

The first trailer of Dora and the Lost City of Gold is expected to drop during the upcoming Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards. The upcoming movie is set to be released on 2nd August!

Fans of the animated series have mixed thoughts about the live-action remake.
