The ‘Mulan’ Trailer Is AWESOME But Everyone Wants To Know Where Mushu Is

It’s time to get down to business because the first full trailer for Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Mulan is here and everyone’s freaking out!

Now, if you’re thinking that the live-action remake is exactly like the animated movie (*cough Lion King cough*), be prepared to be slightly disappointed. While there are iconic moments brought over to the upcoming movie, there are still many pieces missing and tons of new elements mixed in.

Bear in mind though that the new Mulan is no longer a musical like the animated movie and is in fact very much in the style of a period war drama.

While both versions of Mulan are based on the Chinese legend “The Ballad of Hua Mulan,” the live-action remake follows the storyline of the legendary warrior a lot closer.

In the upcoming movie, Hua Mulan is already a well-trained fighter that serves the army for 12 years, with none of her fellow soldiers suspecting that she is in fact a woman.

The new Mulan trailer is simply breath taking and we can’t stop re-watching it! If you haven’t seen it just yet, do yourself a favour and take three minutes out of your busy schedules to be blown away by the trailer.

At first I was disappointed that #Mulan would not include the animated classic's songs. But now that I see how different the live-action take is, I realize it's not just a nostalgic-driven cash grab remake like Aladdin or The Lion King. It's a unique retelling. I dig it.

But of course, there are some fans who are questioning many parts of the trailer – like where is Mushu??

While we too miss Mushu ,we’re still super excited to see how the live-action remake of Mulan will play out, and if the trailer’s anything to go about it, it’s gonna be awesome!
