There’s only three more days between us and Avengers: Endgame and we’re freaking out about the possible fates of all the Avengers.
The upcoming movie is the final movie in the Infinity Saga and is set to be the biggest one the Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen.
After 22 movies, the MCU is said to be gathering the biggest cast yet but there’s one actor who’s just confirmed that he wouldn’t be returning to the movie.
Dr. Erik Selvig. You’ll remember him from the Thor movies.
Seeing as the scientist was not in Infinity War as well, you’d think he’d pop up in Endgame for the final hurrah.
But according to actor, Stellan Skarsgård he won’t be.
“No, I’m not [in Endgame],” he said. “I’ve done four [MCU movies] and they have contracted for five, and they haven’t called me yet.”
“They usually call me when they need some weird plot to be explained in a quasi-scientific way,” he continued. “I thought it was a one-time thing, but the contract said if they wanted me they could use me for five films, but I didn’t think they’d use me for four so it was a surprise. It was a pleasant surprise because I’ve had a lot of fun on those shoots.”
Well, a possible fourth Thor movie is rumoured to be in the works. So maybe Dr. Erik we’ll make his fifth MCU appearance... We hope he does!
