Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was certainly one of the best-animated superhero movies of 2018 that took many fans by surprise!
What is more surprising is that we could have actually had the three generations of live-action Spider-Man in it!
The co-director of the movie, Rodney Rothman said that the film’s original plan was to include Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland in it!
“I wrote a scene that had Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the same scene and… I don’t want to get into it but I did write that scene.”

He revealed that he was afraid it might confuse the audience by bringing the live-action spideys into the movie.
But the movie did recreate some scenes from the first live-action Spider-Man movie so the idea is still there, we suppose!
"Before this movie, and introducing the idea of the Spider-Verse to the audience, I think everybody was afraid that it would just really confuse people. But wow, it would have been fun."
