Spider-Man’s Tom Holland is swapping his web-shooters for dancing shoes!
The 25-year old actor has confirmed that he will be playing the legendary dancer Fred Astaire in a new biopic movie.
As reported by Digital Spy, he once stated in an interview for GQ magazine that he will be playing Astaire, however, it was only briefly mentioned by the actor and there hadn't been any official announcement about the castings anywhere else.
But now, it's been officially confirmed by Tom himself.
"Oh, I am playing Fred Astaire. The script came in a week ago.” he said to AP at a red carpet event promo for Spider-Man: No Way Home in London.
"I haven't read it yet, they haven't given it to me. I know that Amy Pascal has the script. She FaceTimed me earlier – I was in the bath – and we had a lovely FaceTime. But I will be playing Fred Astaire."

There are no snippets of the movie yet and the release date is unknown.
With Tom on the press trail for Spider-Man now and his upcoming action-adventure movie, Uncharted in February, he probably won’t be filming for a few months…
But worry not! We’ll update you once we find out more!
