The Disney film directed by Guy Ritchie is set to be released in May 2019 and with just over six months away, the first poster has been revealed!
Will Smith, who will be taking on Genie's character, released the first poster of the upcoming film on his Instagram and captioned it, "LEMME OUT!! Can't wait for ya'll to see Me BLUE! :-) #aladdin".
Will had previously hinted that his version of Genie will be a "little bit Fresh Prince, a little bit Hitch," which we're super excited for! Previously voiced by the beloved Robin Williams, Will will definitely have some huge shoes to fill.

The cast began filming in September 2017, just before the original Aladdin celebrated its 25th anniversary.
WIll posted a group selfie on his Instagram as well, introducing the cast. "We just started shooting Aladdin and I wanted to intro you guys to our new family... Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), and I'm over here getting my Genie on," he shared.

New characters will also be introduced in the remake with actors like Nasim Pedrad and Billy Magnussen on board. Aside from adding new characters to the remake, the film will be adding two new songs that will hopefully match the timeless classics of the 1992 film.
We're super excited to see whole new world of Aladdin!
