Another 'Loki Death' Theory Has Been Cleared Up By Marvel Studios

That’s not the answer we wanted…

If you've been clinging on to hope that Loki might still be alive after Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios has just come out to dismiss that theory. Or, at least one fan theory.

One of the most popular plot holes about Loki's death being fake that was noticed by fans was that he did not revert to his Jotun form upon dying. As we all know, Thor's half-brother is actually the biological son of King Laufey, the ruler of the Frost Giants in Jotunheim.

Fans were given a reason to believe that Loki's death may have been fake because he did not turn blue upon death. As was previously seen in Thor, whenever Loki touched certain Frost Giant relics or came in contact with them, he would turn back into his biological skin. So, it was reasonable to think that his death wasn't real.

However, in the latest Marvel Studios Guidebook, it was revealed that only those two instances would allow Loki to revel his blue skin. It is said that not even death would bring out his original colour.

As noted in the art book, Loki's "Blue Frost Giant skin" was "transformed by Odin" to help him blend in when living on Asgard rather than being in enemy skin. "Whenever Loki touches Frost Giants or their relics, he temporarily reverts back to his original form, with blue skin and red eyes."

Even death is not a reason for Loki to turn back to his true colour due to Odin's powers. Unfortunately, it seems like the God of Mischief is really dead this time.

We're still hanging on to sliver of hope that Loki is still alive. Anyone got any other theories?
