As the Infinity Saga draws to a close, it seems like the end is here not just for the cast but also the crew. After 11 years and 21 movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it feels a little surreal to reach the end.

When directors, Anthony and Joe Russo first took on Captain America: Winter Soldier, it was their first shot at tackling a huge franchise with a massive budget. From there, the brothers moved on to bring us Civil War and Infinity War that frankly, blew our minds.
Now that they’ve reached the end of the Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame, the Russo brothers have confirmed that they have no plans to return to the MCU.

“It’s our Endgame, at least for now,” Anthony said to Games Radar. “We don’t have any plans for now to make any more Marvel movies. It certainly may come up in the future at some point. We have a wonderful working relationship with [Marvel Studios] and a great passion for what they’re doing.”

Previously, Joe spoke to Comic Book about the matter saying:
“I think that, you know, we’re going to take a little bit of a break. We love Marvel. I mean, we’re very close with Kevin [Feige] and Lou [DeEsposito] and Victoria [Alonso] and Trin [Tranh], who’s produced the last two movies with us and eight more. I mean, it’s really like family for us there. But, you know, we’ve done four movies in six and a half years so we’re going to take a little bit of a vacation, but we’ll be, we’ll be back in a heartbeat.”

Though it may be sad to know that the Russo brothers are done with the MCU for now, we’re glad to know that they’ll be taking a very much deserved break. What are your thoughts on the brothers leaving the MCU?
