When Avengers: Endgame first hit the big screen, the movie quickly scaled to the top and smashed box office records by becoming the fastest movie ever to reach the $1 billion dollar mark in its opening weekend.
From there, Endgame continued to grow bigger and bigger. In a bid to dethrone James Cameron’s Avatar as the biggest movie of all time, the MCU movie re-released Endgame with additional footage to give the movie a boost.

While Marvel fans are ecstatic about reaching the franchise’s goal, it’s the interaction that took place between Endgame directors – Joe and Anthony Russo; and Avatar’s James Cameron, that stole the hearts of everyone.
As soon as the news broke, James sent out a statement that read:
“Oel Ngati Kameie, I see you Marvel – Congratulations to Avengers Endgame on becoming the new box-office king.”
Overwhelmed by the support, the Russo Brothers took to their social media to show their undying appreciation to Titanic, Terminator, Aliens and Avatar director.
“To @JimCameron – you’re a monumental reason why we fell in love with film in the first place. Thank you for always inspiring us and opening the world’s eyes to what’s possible. We can’t wait to see where you take us next…” they shared.
