Rihanna was just rumoured to play villain Poison Ivy in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman movie and the world is ready for Eddie Redmayne as to join as The Riddler too!
The Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them star was recently asked which villain he would want to play and he said that he would love to play the famous Batman villain, Edward Nygma aka The Riddler!
“I’d love to play The Riddler,” said The Theory of Everything star. "Just putting that out there.”
Eddie have been fancast for many years to play The Riddler as well as DC’s Blue Beetle and Marvel’s Mister Fantastic!
The Riddler is a criminal mastermind with genius-level intelligence and is famous for using riddles and puzzles against Batman in the comics. He always carries a question mark shaped cane and is also skilled with engineering and technology.
Fans are excited about the Oscar award winner playing the villain and we are too!
We don’t know if Eddie will ever get to play The Riddler but seeing how the upcoming The Batman movie will feature multiple villains, it’s not impossible at all!
Eddie previously revealed that he’s a comic book movie fan in an interview in 2012 saying, "having seen things like Andrew and Emma’s performance in Spider-Man, you know it’s often that the scale of the pieces can make an audience think that there’s so much going on that, you sort of forget that there are brilliant things being done by the actors in the middle of it.”
